Help with car, REAL resources that can help in our specific situation Or work from home that is legitimate and does not require ANY credit card numbers or bank account numbers or MONEY.

We are a married family with 3 children.Husband is waiting to hear answer back from S.S.D.I. It looks promising this time. But we have a few more months yet. He is truly disabled but this process takes a while. We have no vehicle and it is difficult to get around in a city which does not have a reliable transportation system. Not to mention no family or friends that are near. My family offered to pay rent for 1 year while husband applied for S.S.D.I. This really helped. But they were under the impression that this process took 6months to a year tops.My family is older and they do not have a lot so it is very hard to know this burden is on them. I applied with Department of Human Services to take a class to help prepare you for employment and to find employment. At this time we had a vehicle. This program paid 13.00 a day plus 420.00 a month. Unfortunately It was during a time when EVERYONE was looking for employment and My skills are limited due to the fact that my husband was the primary wage earner for 10 years until he became disabled. Then our car died in May and I was no longer eligible for any job training classes. You MUST be able to make EVERY class without excuse of child care or transportation to be on ANY cash assistance program and with the non reliability of public transportation here I could not risk being kicked out and not eligible If I was ever in a bad situation WITH a car again. Believe me there is a difference of being poverty strickin with a car than without. Now we have fallen behind on our bills again and 2 churches have been kind enough to help before but now There is NO resource that I have found that helps ANY One in OUR specific situation. 2 out of 4 of our utilites are DISCONNECTED. All our food stamp money went to purchasing WATER. NEXT for us,NO electric. Thats October 17th. If you miss a payment plan you have to pay the entire bill (420.00). Every dime I get from relatives , friends , birthdays , holidays goes to paying off bills. My children suffer but they are too sweet to mention it. I see the disappointment when they cant do the other things their friends can. We DESPERATELY NEED HELP. I have looked for places that donate cars to families like ours. There are none here. You can not get a job without a car. Thats one of the first things the employer wants to know, or the job is not ON a bus line. ALL places on line want money for FREE GRANT money. Money for helping you find unclaimed funds. We are the true poverty in America. If anyone else is going through this any advice of TRUE resources that can help would be greatly appreciated. This is also causing tremendous strain on our marriage and mood. I have also tried the work online but you need certain internet connections OR MONEY to start and NO we do not have a credit card, checking or savings account, or paypal account. Any advice to what to do we are tapped out and desperate.

Veteran Car Donation: Get a donated car.

Homeless Veterans of America

Think about this amazing statistic. According to USA Today, over 200,000 Veterans will wander the streets with no place to go and little to eat.
It should cause great concern for everyone when they walk by a homeless person. There could be many reasons why they are homeless.

born into homeless family
learning and physical disabilities
no source of income
verbal and physical abused

Regardless of their reason, it is sad to see someone live on the streets. Adding to my concern is the fact that 25% of the homeless are veterans. How can that be possible?

Veterans sacrificed their life for our freedom. Without them, we may not be alive to read this article. Vietnam veterans were surrounded by death. Some veterans commented that they never got too close to their squad mates because they would be dead the next day. They ignored their fears and fought effortlessly until our mission was complete.

Somehow, America has missed many opportunities to help the soldiers that returned home disabled. In the year 2010, how are Americans showing their gratitude?

Car Donations

You can show your appreciation by donating your car to homeless veterans. Donating your car has become a great way to avoid the hassles of selling your car. In addition, all car donations are tax deductible. The proceeds of the car sale benefit veterans. The funds raised give food and shelter for homeless veterans.

Interested car donors can follow these easy steps:

1. Fill our car donation form online.
2. Schedule a free towing for pickup
3. Receive tax deduction receipt.

How to Donate your Car

Most car donation organizations accept running and non-running cars in any condition. They also accept many different types of vehicles such as trucks, vans, conversion vans, trailers, RV's and motorcycles.

The value of your car donation is determined by the blue book value of your car. The IRS allows donors to claim the selling price as the tax deduction. Donors need to have the title for the vehicle and a lien release if necessary.

Generally, your vehicle is picked up 2-3 days after you complete the car donation process. The towing and pickup is absolutely free.

The Vietnam Veterans of America have many different non-profit chapters across the U.S, so check to see if there is a car donation center near you.

Donating your car can help provide food and shelter to the ones that gave so much. In a society that worships nice cars and million dollar homes, we have forgotten the ones that made life possible for us today! Veterans bravely defended our country and never hesitated to help ones in need. It is our turn to give back to them!

"Never again will one generation of veterans abandon another."

More importantly, the VVA has donated cars available to ones in need. If you need a source of transportation to and from work, call 800 435-783 to see what is available.

FREE or LOW COST AUTOMOBILES

I knew if I looked long and hard, I would find more information. I was trying to find something resl cute to say like " I'm not a want want I'm a Do Do and that just didn't sound right for several reason's, so if you will pardon me I'll take my foot out of my mouth and get on with it.

There have been numerous request for FREE Cars well I had found a few locations but they were usually where it didn't do the person much good. I have found a much larger list and I'm hoping that more people will get use from it.

There are numerous organizations that make vehicles available at No cost or LOW cost to struggling families. The problem is that they don't tell very many people. They are usually refurbished vehicles to insure safety and reliability. You really didn't think they would hand out brand spanken new cars, did you? Come on.

Besides the organization states have developed programs to help improve mobility and self-suffientcy for people who are in transition from welfare to work, to keep a job, to help get a person back and forth to the doctors office.

These people can tell you what the quailifications are and if you quailiify and all I can tell you is good luck, that I hope this has been a service to and for you.

I will have to stop I have a doctors appointment to which I have to attend but here are a few before I go:

As you can tell by some of the Titles of these places you'd never tell them in the phone book. They like to hide, less work and saves their resources. That's it! I hope and pray that this helps many people to get their jobs, save their jobs, and get to and from the doctors offices.

May God Bless

I have also discovered that soulight has an impressive list on her site. Have a look.

About kassimartin91

Dont know how to do this...I am new. If I am at the wrong place, please help me find the right one.... i Was in the ike disaster.  I was already indigent before.  All I had was my car, but since I was already poor, the car was in my grandmothers name, so FEMA is not going to do anything.  the house I rented was in my mothers name, so there was nothing that could be done there.  my husband has finally found a job at a hotel, but I have difficulty even wanting to face the day anymore.  My husband has DVT and we have no transportation to get him to doc because within walking distance here was UTMB.  My son had to walk home from work one night because I didnt have bus fare or cab fare and he was mugged for a pair of tennis shoes and a cell phone that his grandmother had given him.  I dont realy want a hand-out...I mean funds would be great to get back on my feet and would be much appreciated, but I want to work up and try to make the best of this situation.  We are living six in a one bedroom apartment with a loft.  i have tried every resource that i know of to try and get someone to at least listen to me, no one seems to care.  I am not a free loader, I am willing to help for every one that is willing to help me.  I was raised that nothing comes free.  i want to help others like me to get on their feet as well.  I cannot work right now because all the medical jobs here are shut down because of all the flooding.  I lost my jeep, it still sits in the parking lot and I see it as a daily reminder that it is not my lifeline anymore.  I cannot go off the island to even find a better job for what my qualifications are.  I am so depressed.  i am not feeling sorry for myself, dont get me wrong, i am just at the point of frustration and giving up.  I have pawned everything that i own for food and running out continuously.  If it was me and my husband we would not mind living on the streets, but our kids, any children deserve better.  I have failed them and failed myself.  When I watch the shows I see on my moms tv set about how much in life people take for granted, it makes me so sad.  I am a certified medical office specialist.  I have so much to offer and cannot do anything about it.  I type 75 words a minute and cannot make anything doing that because all the online searches and govt searches that i have tried want money to get me some help, geez if I had money, why would i be looking for them to help me.  I sit day after day, just frustrated, what can be done.  I want help so bad, we have nothing, clothes, home, car, my kids sleep in a dirty floor, or wherever is available.  My mother lost her job and can no longer help us with our living needs.  we are not at rock bottom, we are under the rock.   We have no assets,  nothing.... The sad thing is that we are well educated and hard working people and even drug dealers make more money.  We are willing to do anything for anyone to help us, are willing to "pay it forward" each and every day of my life.  I want to start my own buisness anything.  I feel like I can make a difference in someones life.  I just want some one to touch mine.  I am so sad and depressed. I feel such a loser to my children, I just want to give up and i know that i cant.  I cry day after day.  I am bipolar, so believe me that is just another something to keep me from living a real life.  I just want a decent life.  Not a million dollars, just a push in the right direction.  MOney would help get me and the kids around in a car.  ANd advice on how I could help others would keep my heart going around.  Please help me.  I am so lost and do not even know if there is any hope left.  Hope isnt for suckers.  But I have nothing left to hold on to.  I even thought about death, because at least my kids would get my SSI and at least they might have a chance...  WE have nothing and I never thought that I would be the one that would ever say that because even at middle class, i still thought that there was hope.  When you are under the rock however, it is so hard to see daylight.  I am so depressed right now so I will close because the last thing I want to do is feel sorry for myself, and when I am not positive, that is what happens.  HUMAN NATURE SOMETIMES HUH....I hope some one listens...I just really need help so bad this thing is just too much right now, i just want to dissappear and crawl in a hole and hope when I wake up it is all better.  Hand outs are a dime a dozen, but I am willing to give when I am back on my feet each and every day of my life.  I really feel like my life was not a waste.  I was meant to do something for someone and make a difference in this world.  I do not want to be in this situation.  I want to provide to those like someone might find it in thier heart to provide for me....please help us....we are so desperate and do not want to live on the street....
